Pleubian enjoys a difference between high and low tide of 11 meters in heighth and 2.5 km in length. This area is seaweed's favourite habitat.
Moreover, two different currents end up off Pleubian :
- Descent of cold waters from the North Sea.
- Warm current from the Atlantic (Gulf Stream).
The whole site that stretches out on several hectares is classified as an "A" harvest area by authorized organisms responsible for checking the waters' quality. |
